Our Story
I’m from the east side of Detroit, Michigan; a place that built me before I even knew what I was becoming.

Basketball was my first language. I played four years at Pershing High School, then continued my journey at Oakland University for three years before taking the leap into the professional world. For over a decade now, the game has taken me across cities, countries, and experiences I once only dreamed about.

But through it all, there was always something else inside me — thoughts, ideas, stories.
Writing became my way of understanding life beyond the court.

ShotClock Insights isn’t just a blog — it’s a reflection of everything I’ve seen, felt, and learned along the way. It’s where the game, life, and perspective meet. Every post is real. Every story has purpose.

I’ve always believed I could change my environment. I didn’t always know how, but I trusted that if I stayed consistent, worked hard, and kept growing — everything else would fall into place.
And it did.

Now, I’m a father.

And this is bigger than me.

This is about legacy.

Basketball is part of my story — but it won’t be the only thing I leave behind.

Through writing, I’m building something that lasts.
